**The Provincial Exam for Math 10 courses will be on Monday, June 27 at 1:00 pm. I advise you to be at school 30 minutes early.**

We are currently working on Unit 8 – Volume & Capacity.

The Unit 7 – Earning & Spending Money unit test was on Thursday, May 26.

Students wrote the Volume and Capacity test today and were given the first set of review work to prepare for the final exam.

Unit 3 – Linear Measurements was started today. There was some work in the imperial system, fractions, and review of other calculations. For students unhappy with their results of the unit 2 test, the retest will be next Tuesday, November 25 after school in Mr. Hill`s room.

The Unit 2 – Right Triangles and Trigonometry unit test was written today. The retest will be next Tuesday, November 25. Some students had time to work on a puzzle involving cards.

Students wrote the third and final quiz for the right triangles and trigonometry unit. Students should be able to complete the Unit 2 workbooks.

We looked at using sine, cosine, and tangent to determine lengths of sides and angles of any right triangle.

More calculating angles. Some students worked on bisecting angles using the classic geometry tools of compass and straightedge.

Continued to use protractors to measure angles, but also began drawing angles. We calculated angles.

The class looked at scaling polygons and determining lengths of sides. Page 12 of the workbooks.
